ower, prominent McAllen attorney,
was appointed a member of the
board of trustees of the McAllen In
dependent school district at a meet
ing of the board, according to M. E
Stone, clerk of the district.
Mr. Ramsower announced his ac
ceptance of the appointment Tues
day morning. He will fill the va
cancy caused by the resignation of
C. D. Turner.
Four new Instructors wer« elected
at the meeting. A. M. Weir wn’1
teach social science. Mrs. A M. Walr
was named instructor in home eco
nomics and clothing. R. H. Elder
will teach manual training in
Roosevelt ward school, and Miss
Powena Dickev will instruct in
physical education.
