The State of Texas to the Sheriff
or any Constable of Cameron Coun
ty. Texas, Greeting:—
You are hereby commanded that
by making publication of this Cita
tion in some newspaper published
in the County of Cameron once in
eacl\ week for four consecutive
weeks previous to the return day
hereof, you summon Grace Fer
guson Adams whose residence is un
known who is alleged to be a non
resident of the State of Texas, to
be and appear at the next regular
term of the District Court of Cam
eron County, to be hoiden at the
Court House thereof in the City of
Brownsville on the third Monday in
September. 1929, the same being the
16th day of September, 1929. in a
suit numbered on the Docket of
said Court No. 8664. wherein Lin
coln Adams, Jr., is plaintiff and
Grace Ferguson Adams is defend
ant. the nature of plaintiffs de
mand being substantially as follows,
to-v.it:
That on September 15. 1923. plain
tiff and defendant were lawfully
married and thereafter continued
to live together until about the mid
del of the year 1927. when defend
ant without Just cause refused to
further live with plaintiff: that
plaintiff, during the time of living
with defendant was at all times
considerate of defendant, and con
ducted himself with propriety,
treating defendant with kindness
and forbearance, but that, on the
other hand. drA;ndant was contin
uously captious with plaintiff,
sought to humiliate him by up
braiding him and being captious
toward him in public, commenced
and conducted a policy of going
from town to town establishing
herself at pleasure resorts, refusing
to live with plaintiff, insisting that
plaintiff turn down employment
offered him. and refused to allow
plaintiff to keep their minor child
in the presence of the two of them,
all of which injured his feelings and
sensibilities, he being a member of
a socially prominent family, all of
which excesses, cruel treatment, and
outrages, and injuries to plaintiff's
feeling and sensibilities are of such
a nature as to render their further
living together insupportable.
Plaintiff prays Judgment of the
court dissolving the bonds of matri
mony now existing between them,
that he have the care and custody
of the minor child, that it be found
and decreed by the court that there
is no community property between
plaintiff and defendant and that
the title In plaintiff to all property
now standing in his name be ad
judged. and decreed his sole and
separate property, that he have all
costs in this behalf expended and
relief generally.
Herein fall not but have you be
fore said Court on the said first day
of next term thereof this writ with
your return showing how you have
executed the same.
Given under mv hand and seal of

Brownsville, this the 30th day of

EDINBURG, Aug. 21.—Six set*
of twins have been born to Mrs.
Gregoria Garcia Perez, 28-year
old woman residing at La Re
forma, about 40 miles north of
Edinburg, with her husband and
family.
Both Mr. and Mrs. Perea are
proud of their flock, though Perez
admits a difficulty in keeping the
children all present and account
ed for. All the Perez twins usually
get spanked, they say. when one
must be punished because of the
difficulty in telling them apart.

Unconscious State
AUSTIN. Aug. 21.—UP)—Georgs
Hamilton, insurance collector, was
in a hospital here today after be
ing found unconscious on a down
town street last night apparently
suffering from blows inflicted by a
hammer.
A man was held by the sheriffs
department, but no charges had
been filed.
MRS. SOSA’S RITES
HELD MONDAY 9 A. M.
Funeral services for Mrs. Silverio
Sosa, aged 42. were held at the
Immaculate Conception church at
9 a. m. Wednesday morning, with
interment in the city cemetery. Mrs.
Sosa died at the family home on
Fourteenth street at noon Tuesday.
She leaves two sisters living in
Matamoros. and one in Brownsville,
and her husband. Arrangements
were handled by Garza.

SAN BENITO. Aug. 21 .—Plana for
a meeting of Valley chamber of
commerce secretaries, presidents, di
rectors and Interested citizens, to
discuss the immigration question,
were announced here following a
conversation between J. E. Bell. San
Benito secretary, and G. C. Rich
ardson. Brownsvill secretary.
Richardson said he planned to
call the meeting for Friday night,
in Brownsville.
Each chamber of commerce secre
tary wUl bring several interested
citizens, and heads of the Immigra
tion and border patrol organisations
will be present.
Definite action looking toward a
solution of the immigration prob
lems of the Valley is expected *o be
outlined at the nreting.
The suggestion oi sending a rep
resentative to Washington to in
vestigate the situation is to be dis
cussed. Also, the suggestion of ask
ing the commissioners courts to ap
propriate funds for an immigration
bureau and attorney here to repre
sen* the Mexirans when they are
here legally, will come up for dis
cussion.
