Morrison, traffic manager of the Mexican aviation company will be unable to visit Brownsville this week, according to officials here. Morrison was to discuss plans for an all-expense air tour over the Mex ican lines with O. C. Richardson, chamber of commerce secretary’. He has gone to San Salvador on busi ness. BUYING ORDERS FLOOD MAH Stock Price Move Irregul arly Higher, With Few Points Gained NEW YORK, Sept. 30.—(JP)— Buying orders predominated at the opening of today's stock mar ket, and prices moved irregularly higher. United Carbon opened 2% points higher at 102%, a new high record and Sears Roebuck showed an initial gain of 2 points. Open ing advances of a point or more were registered by American Tele phone. Westtnghouse Electric. Gen eral Motors, American and Foreign Power and Columbia Graphophone. U. S. Steel Common Dropped a point and Public Service of New Jersey 1%. The early buying movement car ried the market up to 18.75 for December and 19.01 far March or about 10 to 17 points above Sat urday’s close. Demand tapered off, and the market was quiet with prices showing moderate reactions under further soythern hedging and realizing. At mid-day Decem ber was ruling around 18.89 with prices generally holding some 8 to 10 points net higher. There were a few soft spots. A. M.
