AUTO WRECKS
FATAL TO TWO
(By The Associated Press.)
Two fatalities and numerous In
juries, some of which may prove
fatal, were reported in week-end
automobile accidents in Texas.
A search for wild holly ended in
death for George Christopher, 45.
of Paris. His truck turned over
near Antlers, Oklahoma. Vernon
Terry, 25, also of Paris, was less
seriously injured.
Levi Mitchell, 22. Baytown, died
Sunday of injuries suffered when
a truck overturned near Houston.
Others injured were Arthur Sam
ara, Joe Mitchell, and J. A. Oliver,
all of Baytown.
Two 16-year-o!d girls were seri
ously injured in a collision near
Houston. The girls. Ethel Grant and
Nettie Wilder, both lived in Ooose
Creek.
Taken from the scene of the
accident near San Marcos, to a
hospital In San Antonio, John M.
Bennett. Jr., Unh’ersity of Texas
student, was still fn a dangerous
condition. Bennett, Alex W. Ter
rell of Fort Worth and Fates Davis
of a Paso, all university students,
were injured when their car over
turned. Young Bennett is the son
of John M. Bennett, president of

ly hurt when their car crashed
through a bridge railing near Dal
las and landed bottom side up In
the river bottom. The accident oc
curred on a bridge which has been
the scene of two fatalities and fif
teen other injuries in automobile
accidents in the last sixty days.
