Raymondville Kiwanians are work mg towards a good turnout for the program, he stated. Warren Reitz a director of the choral club. Decomposed Body Is Found, 4 Men Held BASTROP. La.. June 4—rip)—Four men were in pail here today, fol lowing the discovery yesterday of the decomposed body of a man who had apparently been killed by a blow from a blunt instrument. The corpse has been identified as that of Robert Kolnan. 40, of Arkansas City The quartet in custody were John Durham, 25, charged with murder, and Earl Durham, Walter Ward and Lloyd Ward, charged with being accessories. The body was found in a shallow grave, and was in such a state as to be almost unrecognizable. Suspicion was directed toward John Durham, because, it Is alleged, he took three horses, a car, and two mules which Holman brought here from Arkansas City, on the day following the man’s disappear ance. Prisoners Escape SHAMROCK, Tex.. June 4—HP)— Peace officers of Wheeler county | snd surrounding counties were i searching today for James Howard and Bob Russell, prisoners from the Wheeler county Jail, who es caped lasj night after slugging Lee McBee, jailer, as he entered the cell block with their suppers. McBee was beaten over the head with a milk bottle and a leg broken from a table. The two men took the Jail keys from him and drove away in McBee's car.
