June 5—f./PI— Two rumors of efforts to upset the plans of senate leaders for debating the London Naval Treaty at a spec ial session gained circulation today on Capitol Hill. The first of these attributed to the young republican faction a move to bring the pact, to a vote before adjournment of the present session. The second laid to the opponents of the treaty an endeavor to have the senate recess rather than adjourn, a technical distinction which would prevent President Hoover from call ing the extra-ordinary serion. Leaders of all factions of the senate, except the young republi cans. entered into an agreement to consider the pact at the special ses sion. Word that they would seek a vote on the treaty before adjourn ing spread after Senators Vanden berg of y.ichigan and Allen of Kan sas had discussed the situation with President Hoover. Their calls at the White House Watson and Senator Moses of New followed that of Republican Leader Hampshire, the president pro-tem of the Senate, who informed Mr. Hoover of a general desire among their colleagues to get away from Washington for the summer, and the coming campaigns as quickly as possible. They suggested that the treaty be deferred until next winter, but such a course was opposed by the chief executive. Yoe Changes Plans • Special to The Herald.) SAN BENITO. June 5.—Supt. Thomas J. Yoe has abandoned plans for attending the summer session at the University of Texas and will take a position as instructor at the summer terms of the College of Arts and Industries at Kingsville, he said today. Mr. Yoe will teach classes in or ganization and administration and several other subjects.
