This notice is issued in compliance with an Order of said Commission ers* Court of date June 12, A. D ! 1330, setting said petition for hear ing, and the following is a true copy of said Order, viz: "IN THE MATTER OF THE ES TABLISHMENT OF CAMERON COUNTY WATER IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NUMBER SEVEN TEEN:’* On this the !2th day of June A. D. 1930, at a Special Session of the Honorable Commissioners' Court of Camerdn County, Texas, there was presented to this Court and came on to be considered the petition of Earl C. Sams, and others, praying for the establishment of a Water Improve ment District, lying wholly within Cameron County, Texas, to be known as ‘ Cameron County Water Improvement District Number Sev enteen**, same containing 1888 93 acres of land, more or less, in and out of the Eastern Haif of the lower or Eastern League of the San Pedro de Carricitos Grant, in Cameron county, Texas, same to be created and to operate under Section 59 of Article 16 of the Constitution of Texas, for the purpose of irrigating the land therein included, and of furnish mg water for domestic, pow er and commercial purposes, in which petition is embraced an ap plication for authority for the is suance of the notes of such district when organized, to the maximum amount permitted by law, based up on the sum of $225,000.00 estimated and proposed cost of the improve ments to be made in said district, namely: an irrigation system there in. And. the Court, after examining said petition and finding that same is in due and legal form and Is sign ed by a majority in number of the holders of title to the lands situated within the proposed district and representing a majority In value of the lands therein, as indicated by the County tax rolls, and that said Ertition sets forth a necessity, pub c utility, feasibility and a benefit to the lands included in said dis trict. and the proposed boundaries of said district and designates a name for said district, to-wit: “Cam eron County Water Improvement District Number Seventeen”, which includes the name of Cameron County, is of the opinion that same should be set down for hearing. It is, therefore, now here by the Court ordered that said petition be, and the same is. set for hearing before this Court at a Special Ses sion of this Court to be held at the County Court House in the City of Brownsville.
