Madison Square Garden officials
have been more than a little dis
turbed over the disappointing ad
vance sale for the Chocolate-Berg
battle in the polo grounds tomor
row night. Cash customers have
been so scarce that Garden of
ficials have revised their origmeJ
estimates of the "gate” from $200,
000 to $150,000.

lic’s lukewarm interest in this bat
tle of two of the current boxing era s

Berg, who has fought at as high as

three or four pounds heavier than

6. That all voters desiring to
support the proposition to confirm
the organization of said Cameron
County Water Control and Im
provement District No. 18 shall
have written or printed on their
bailors the words:
“For Confirmation of District.”
And those opposed to the con
firmation of the organization of
the District shall have written or
printed on their ballots the words:
“Against District.”
7. When any person appears at
the to vote who is not known
to the election officers to be a
qualified voter and a property
taxpayer, or when his vote is
challenged, he shall be required
to subscribe and swear to an oath
as fallows:
“I do solemnly swear (or affirm)
LEGAL ADVERTISEMENT
that I am a qualified voter and a
property taxpayer in the District.
I did not acquire property prior
to this election for the purpose of
voting but am a bona fide property
taxpayer in the District.”
When any person is required to
subscribe and swear to such oath

upon the poll list opposite the
nr me of such voter.
8. There are no municipal cor
porations within the territory
embraced within said Cameron
County Water Control and Improve
ment District No. 18. The territory
embraced in said Cameron Coun
ty Water Control and Improve
ment District No. 18 is fully des
cribed in the original petition for
the organization of said District
on file in the office of the Coun
ty Clerk of Cameron County. Tex
ar. and said original petition is

persons desiring to examine the
same.
9. Notice of the election herein
provided for signed by the Presid
ent and Secretary of the Board
of Directors of said District, which
notice shall state the purpose of
the election, the proposition to be
voted on. the polling places, and
