Where There’s a ‘Want’-That’s Where Herald Classified Ads Shine PALUKA BOUTS INJURE GAME Popular Little Scrappers Likely to Draw Only About $150,000 NEW YORK. Aug. </P>—The Innocent must suffer with the guilty as Kid Chocolate and Jack Kid Berg are beginning to discov er. Madison Square Garden officials have been more than a little dis turbed over the disappointing ad vance sale for the Chocolate-Berg battle in the polo grounds tomor row night. Cash customers have been so scarce that Garden of ficials have revised their original estimates of the ••gate'’ from $200, 000 to $150,000. Moat of the blame for the pub lic’s lukewarm Interest in this bat tle of two of the current boxing era’s most popular figures has been I placed in some quarters on the epi 1 dcmic of fouls and generally un satisfactory endings of most of the bt*5 bouts in the last year. Appar ently Chocolate and Berg, neither of whom wins or loses on fouls, will have to share the loss along with the Garden. The weight question continued to bother the experts, especially since reports have become general tha*. Chocolate has been growing fast and has taken on weight so fast that he may have trouble keeping down to the featherweight limit should he ever want to go after that title. The Cuban stars’ handlers, however, declared Chocolate would tip the beam at little more than 126 pounds at weighing in ceremonies. Berg, who has fought at as high as 141 pounds, will have no trouble making the 134 1-2 pounds his con tract calls for but probably will be three or four pounds heavier than ‘hat by the time he enters the ring.
