Twelve tables of players participated, ten tables being composed of students and two of teacher.s. High score among the girls was awarded to Miss Dorothy More, and to Fritz Eall amjn„ t.ie men. Ice cream and cake were served to the party. • • • Club Twelve Plays Brisca Misses Vivian and Lilia Junco were joint hostesses to the Club Twelve on Tuesday evening at their home on St. Charles. ANNUAL FESTIVAL WELL ATTENDED About 400 persons from McAllen. Alamo. Mercedes, Harlingen, and San Benito gathered here Sunday at St. Paul's Lutheran church to aid in giving its annual mission festival. a yearly celebration and ceremony on the part of all Lu theran churches. Rev. H. Bartling of Mercedes gave the morning address, while Rrv H. Weidcranders of San Be nito occupied the pulpit as a guest speaker tn the afternoon.
