W. G. Swan, the Human Rocket, will be taken in an
airplane to an altitude of 10,000 feet when he will
make his stupendous leap into space. While de
scending on the first lap of his drop he will set off
hundreds of beautiful colored explosive bombs.
While swinging from a trapeze attached to the
first parachute Mr. Swan makes his preparations for
the final and most dangerous part of his descent to
the beach—or perhaps into the salty waters of the
Gulf of Mexico—without the aid of his parachute
until a few hundred feet from the earth.
After dropping 1,000 feet he will release him
self from the first parachute and drop another 7,000
feet without the aid of the parachute.
During the 7,000-foot drop Mr. Swan literally
becomes a flaming human rocket. This is a most
daring leap under ordinary conditions. But with
the addition of the exploding rockets the downward
descent is terrifically increased, making it one of the
most dangerous feats ever performed in midair. The
parachute is used only for landing purposes when
near the earth or water, as the case may be.

Sea, passes will not be accepted at the
toll bridge, between 7:00 A. M. and Mid
night of April 9th.

Because of the tremendous
crowds which will attend it is
advisable to get to Del Mar
Beach during the afternoon.
However, there is space for
5,000 automobiles along the
beach, and no one will be dis
appointed by not getting park
ing space.

taurant on Del Mar Beach.
Many fishermen will come Saturday night or early Sunday
to satisfy their desire for good fishing. Fish are now biting from
the Jetties and along the shore of Del Mar Beach.

There is no better bathing beach along the entire shore line of the great
Gulf of Mexico than will be found at Del Mar Beaches. Easily accessible from
the upper Valley through Brownsville. An all-cement road leads directly to
the Gulf. A well appointed bath house with a generous supply of towels,
fresh water showers and other conveniences at your command.

Probably one of the most enjoyed features at Del Mar Beach
are the cottages which may be had by the day. week-end, week,
month or entire season at very reasonable rentals.
These cottages are completely and modemly furnished and
have electric lights, gas. bath and other conveniences you would
expect in any modem home.
Arrangements can be made for the rental of any of the cot
tages at the main office at Del Mar Beach. Reservations can
