Clary wildcat, 15 miles northwest of Mission, another wild cat about 6.500 feet northwest of the Samfordyce discovery well cored a few Inches of oil sand late Wednes day night and again focused atten tion on an important northwest ex tension ol the Held. Feb 21.—Plans have been made to conduct the Valley - wide City Beautification campaign for 1935, according to Harry Ratliff. Weslaco, who his been named chair man of the committee by the Valley .Secretary's association. The campaign, which la sponsored by the chambers of commerce of the Valley and Mrs Julia Montgomery of Brownsville, provides an entrance fee from each participating city of $10. First judging of the cities will be made in the first part of Mirth and the last judging will be made during the lirst week In December The city showing the greatest amount of Improvement in the wav of beautification in December will be awarded the Montgomery Rose Cup and a cash award of approxi mately $100.
