THE building of the new deep water, sea level seaport
now under construe tion and nearing completion in the
Southmost Gulf Coast section of the Rio Grande Valley of
Texas creates many new and very special opportunities for
every present and future citizen and investor of Southern
Texas and Northern Mexico.
The creation of these new opportunitiei
can be made to add hugely to the early and
permanent welfare and prosperity of every
present and future man, woman and child who
may reside or invest on either side of the Rio
Grande for hundreds of miles in either direc
tion.
To insure for the present and for all time,
and to continually enlarge such welfare and
prosperity for every one living or investing in
this favored portion of North America all that
is needed is proper, suitable and sufficient
teamwork.
In order to hasten and to always maintain
this proper, suitable and sufficient teamwork
it is important that everyone learn to know
well the special opportunities created by this
new seaport, and also the many already ex
isting advantages of the Rio Grande Valley
and vicinity.
Each and every citizen or investor can
catalogue and help to point out and emphasize
to themselves and to others many of the spe
cial opportunities and advantages of this new
seaport and of other portions of Southern Tex
as and Northern lVtexico which it will serve.
In this way and in many other ways all
can assist in doing their part of the needed
teamwork which will benefit every one.
Our many already existing advantages are
made up, not only of our location, soil, climate,
water, oranges, grapefruit, winter gardens,
cotton, corn, cattle, oils and other wealth but
also of our people.
The richness, progressiveness and agree
ability of the minds, hearts and souls of the
people of any section of the world can always
be the means of adding greatly to the richness,
demand for and market value of its soil, cli
mate and other wealth.
In this favored section of the Rio Grande
Valley and vicinity we have a citizenship both
in the Republic of the United States and in the
Republc of Mexico which now adds and will
continue to add great value to all its material
advantages.

We have here the blending of some of the
best blood of many countries of the old world
with great native races found in the Western
Hemisphere when Columbus discovered it.
This makes for the Rio Grande Valley and
vicinity for hundreds of miles in all directions
from our new seaport a citizenship which is
unsurpassed in potential, ability, .merit .and
wealth by any other citizenship of any section
of the world.
The rapid growth and development of
this citizenship, combined with our many spe
cial opportunities and advantages and large
additions of citizens and investors from other
sections which are now assured by the build
ing of our new seaport will soon make tfie
merits of the Rio Grande Valley and vicinity
well known to the world.
This will help to make our new seaport
section and many other portions of Southern
Texas and Northern Mexico parts of the choic
est places of the earth, in which to live in win
ter or summer or all year, to visit at any and
all times and to invest for permanent safety,
satisfaction and profits.
Teamwork, and always more teamwork,
in learning better to know and also in telling
more and more others in a continually better
and more productive way of the many exist
ing advantages and of the many new special
opportunities which will be created by this
seaport, is one of the greatest and most effec
tive kinds of service which all people of this
favored section can render to themselves and
to others.
This is one of the kinds of teamwork
which within recent years has made Los An
geles and Southern California grow In popu
lation and wealth faster than any other portion
of North America.
By the right kind of teamwork we ean
and will accomplish not only what Los An
geles and Southern California have accomp
lished in the way of growth in population and
wealth, but can accomplish still more by mak
ing improvements on what they have dap*
