in the Probate Court for Newberry
County, South Carolina, on Saturday,
November 19, 1910, at 11 o'clock in the

By virtue of the power given us in
the will of Edw. R. Hipp, deceased,
'we will sell, for cash, at 11 o'clock in
the forenoon of Saturday, November
'5, 1910, at the home of E. H. Walton,
in the Pool bickyard lands, certain
personal property of the deceased,
consisting mainly of one mule and
farming tools and implements, plows,
harrows,. grain drill, weeders, one
half interest in hay press, etc. At
the same time and place we will rent
to the highest bidder for the year 1911,
payable in money October 15, 1911,
the lands of the said deceased lying
west of Rosemont cemetery and the
home of J. A. Caldwell, consisting of
some 55 acres, and which has upon it
a four room cottage for whites, three
tenant houses and a large barn.

Of Registration For Municipal Elec.
tion For the Town of Newberry.
Notice is hereby given that the books
of registration of voters for the Town
of Newberry, South Carolina, will be
opened at the office of the Chief of Po
lice, in the opera house, from the first
day of October until the 30th day of
November, 1910, both days inclusive,
Sundays excepted, between the hours
of 9 o'clock in the forenoon and 5
o'clock in the afternoon. F. M. Lind
say has been appointed supervisor of
registration. Only such persons as
register as herein provided for shall
be allowed to vote at the regular town
election to be held on the 13th day of
December, 1910, and at special elec
tions held in the Town of Newberry
during the next 12 months.
The production of a certificate of
registration from the Board of Regis
tration of Newberry county entitling
the applicant to vote in a polling pre
cinct within the incorporated limits of
the Town of Newberry, proof of his
residence within the limits of the
municipality for four months preced
ing the annual election for the year
1910, and the payment of all taxes
assessed against him due and collecti
ble for the previous fiscal year, are
necessary to entitle the applicant to
register.
