BROOKLAND DRAMATISTS TO GIVE TWO PLAYS AT SCHOOL THURSDAY P. M. 1 I V I i 7 The Dramatic Club of Brookland will make its first appearance this year on the hoards at the Brookland High School, Thursday, October Oth, at 7:30 p. m.. when they present two plays, "The Woman Who Threw Her Life Away," by Mrs. J. Robert Duri I ham, a domestic drama in <>ne tict, ! urtri "Alice-Sit-Bv-the-Firo." a Barrie j three-act play. i Ail "advance agent" write-up of the play follows: The cast is excellent, all the acm tors being chosen with a special regard for their fitness and capabilities and looks. E. L. Shull, in the plafy by Barrie, portrays the very good young man in such a way that he would immediately be given an excellent certificate of character. In the most compromising situations - he maintains his equanimity to the ut1 most satisfaction of the audience. t Miss Ruby Hook, as Alice, is delightful in her adventures in mothering a family that evidently does not take to her. Her husband. Colonel Gray, is played by John Martin, Jr. Geneva and Amy, the girl friends at a most difficult age, are feelingly acted by Miss Jenny Hodge and Miss Mary Sue North. Cosmo, the son of the family, is excellent. Miss Rial North is wonderful. Miss Leila Craps, as the nurse maid, is quite fetching. In "The Woman Who Threw Her Life Away" Miss Jenni^ Hodge plays the title role, that of Trudi Merrivale, pretty and proseprous and desperate in quest of happiness. Miss Syble I \foiiiin ic in vthe role of Molly iTIVUAii* Armstrong and is very much of a ?. contrast in her happy placidity to her; ( sister. The part of Fred Armstrong, the husband of Molly, is delightfully done by D. S. Shull; *hile the children, Ted, May and Cecil, are acted respectively by paston Medlin. Th?lma Williams and Woodrow Medlin. { VICTIMS RESCUED l | Kidney, liver, bladder and r.ric acid | troubles are most be- * i cauue of* ibeii ttri Heeci the first warning they give { that they need attention fcv tu'.inj mMmk, ; !
