Sixty-two years ago a man named Jones
moved from "Kentucky to Dade county,
Missouri, taking with him his family of
ten children. At a reunion recently held
at Everton, 1,016 of his descendants were
' present and there are a few who were unable
to attend. Almost all his descendants
have married and settled in the same
neigborhooa in southwestern Missouri.

Wedded in Her First Shoes.
Baltimore, Dec. 19.?Charles A. Smith,
a widower, and Mary Ann Smith, both of
Gloucester, Va., came to Baltimore on the
steamer Charlotte, of the York River line,
to get married. As soon as they came
ashore they made for the court house'
procured a license and were married.
Then they returned to the steamer and j
remained there till it started back.
The bride and bridegroom created a J
good deal of discussion among the other j
passengers. The bride said she had never
worn a pair of shoes until Tuesday. Then !
she had donned them for the first time to
go on her bridal tour.
