''The textile institute, which Dr. Camak founded, now has an en rollment of 350 students and many are turned away each year. Dr. R. B. Buigess is its president. The institute is said to be the only boarding school of its kind in the world in which the entire student body consists of persons who are entirely self-supporting through manual labor. "The institute is a mission school and belongs to and is op erated by the board of missions of the general conference of the Methodist Episcopal church, South, "During his ministerial career. I lit-' docket was as follows: The state took a nolle prosse with leave of abandonment charg es against James Baynard. The state took a nolle prosse with leave of assault on a female chatges against Tom Greer. Bill Caldwell was acquitted on i a charge of non-support. J. T. Thompson pleaded guilty i to reckless driving charges and | was fined $1C and costs. John Willii ms, convicted of be I ing drunk and disorderly, was sen | tenced to serve three months and i was given 30 days suspended sen tence on a charge of assault with deadly weapon. The defendant appealed lrom the first sentence and bond was set at $200. Bill Dunn, charged with driving j a motorcycle while drunk, was j fined $50 and costs. Charges of transporting against Kay Hatten were suspended on payment of costs. The state took a nolle prosse with leave of larceny charges against Clyde Smith. The state took a nolle prosse with leave of assault with deadly weapon charges against Dewey Smith. Grady Murray was convicted of larceny and sentenced to serve 12 [ months.
