Hoffman, of Carlsbad, will hold services at St. Andrew's Hall Sunday, March 4th at 7:45 p. mweather permitting. Stromburg left this morning for his home in Galesburg, 111., after spending two weeks in Roswell and the lower part of the valley. He has land interests near Artesia. Miss Pearl Priestly, saleslady at the Morrison Bros, store since last October, left this morning for her home in Chicago. She is undecided in the matter of returning to Roswell. Rev. J. W. Smith, pastor of the M. E. church. South, is due to arrive with his family from Dallas on tonight's train. Mr. Smith's family consists of his flte and a boy about six years of age. R. N. Miller, FranK Anderson, Geo. A. White and wife, S. W. Moore, Dr. H. M. Jones and C. E. Shannon, of Hagerman, came up this morning to spend the day shopping and looking after business. A. H. Sweetland, who has been vis iting with his family at M. J. Thomas, of the Roswell Hard ware Co., who has been In California with Mrs. Thomas for the past month, returned last night, reporting a pleasant trip. Miss Mary Cowell leaves Sunday for Chicago for a visit of a month or six weeks with her sister, Mrs. C. M. Stansbury, who will accompany her to Roswell for a return visit and to see her parents.
