Cave, the Dritish home secretary, in
discumirg the queition of prinoneri o!

day. Some of the German internment
campi, he laid, were reasonably well
organized, but there were o'her camps
where condition were almoM unspeak
able and where inhumane treatment
almost past belief went on.
Sir George believed that if any arm
iMice with cither Germany or Austria
Hungary was reached, the government
would take iteni to ice that one of thr
primary condition! would be that all

would be immediately and uncondi
tionally released. He added:
"It will do no good to talk to the
