"There Is only one chance to save your life and that is through an opera tion," were the startling words heard by Mrs. I. B. Hunt of Lime Ridge. Wis. from her doctor after he had vainly tried to cure her of a frightful case of stomach trouble and yellow jaundice. Gall stones had formed and she con stantly grew worse. Then she began to use Electric Bitters which wholly cured her. It's a wonderful Stomach. Liver and Kidney remedy. Cures dys pepsia. Loss of Appetite. Try it. Only 50 cents. Guaranteed. For sale by A GOOD SHOW AT THE OPERA HOUSE LAST NIGHT. The Specialties Were All Good, and Everybody Got His Money's Worth. At last El Paso theater goers are sjettln gthcir money's worth. The last several shows at the Myar opera house have bene good and it seems ihat each one is a little better than' any preced ing one. The Orpheum Show last night had not a flaw, but on the other hand part of the show excelled any thing of the kind ever seen on an El Paso stage. Jack Norworth. the jail-bird coon has a mine of new jokes and sonks and has a way of shooting themout that would make old ones sound good Will M. Cressy and Blanche Dayne are the cource of much fun in the for mer's little comedy. "The Key of C It is a case of a man, a New Hamp shire countryman, setting into the wrong room, which of course is woman s. Bertie Fowltr s an innovation for El Paso. She is a female imperson ator and made our rounders blush for shame with her imitation of the boozy young man of El Paso. No troupe or circus ever brought to this city the equal of Servius Schaffer, the equilibrist His performance last night was amazing, awe-aspiring, mar velous. Everything he touched seem ed to be attrated like a lode-stone to magnet. Among his wonderful feats were balancing a 150 pound man above his head in one hand and keep ing up china plates with the other keeping up half a dozn plates at one tine, while they rolled about his neck and shoulders as if they were stuck to him; throwing eggs twelve feet into the air and catching thm on a plate without breaking them; balancing heavy cannon ball and a revolving tub on poles while he krrt in the air a large china dish and plate; his acts were above anything of the kind ever seen in El Paso. Johnson, Daver.poit and Lorella. as the farmer and the football players, kept the audience la lghing and bewil dered with wonderful tumbling acts. Louise Dresser, the jewel in a pick aninny setting, has a wonderfully strong and beautiful voice and the settings" were not so far behind They are two little coons, who can sing with charming sweetness and play all sorts of musical instruments. The scenes from "Cinderella" thrown on a curtain by a moving picture ma chine are very life-like and beautiful making one of the most attractive feat ures of the evening. TESTIMONIAL TO GENERAL OPENHEIMER BY DIRECTORS The directors of the Lowdon Nation al bank presented General L. M. Open heimer with a gold device in recogni tion of his past services as president of the bank. The general has been a popular officer in the bank. He will leave for Austin in a few days where he will reside in the future. The gen eral has not been well for the past few months and resigned on that account. He has every faith in the future of El Paso and was well pleased with his in vestments here, and resigned only to be with his family in Austin, where he believes his health will be improved THE HOTELS AND THE CARNIVAL. J. W. Fisher of the Sheldon kept an open house every night during the carnival. Mr. Rogers of the Pierson did the same and all his guests left full of praise for the way they were treated. The Zeiger and the Orndorft went through the rush without a bobble and had all the business they could ac commodate. All in all the hotels made friends for El Paso and only a few rooming houses can be criticised for raising rates. FOOD CHANGED TO POISON. Putrefying food in the intensitines produces euects like those of arsenic, but Dr King's New Life Pills expel the poisons Irom clogged bowels, gently. easily, but surely, curing Constipation, Billiousness, Sick Headache, Fevers, all Liver, Kidney and bowel troubles.
