PRICKLY ASH BITTERS
Is a Bowel Tonic and Regulator.
It empties the bowels just ns thoroughly as the hnrsh,
griping cathartics and does it mildly, comfortably, pleas
antly. Moreover, it leaves a beneficial influence behind it
because the bowels remain healthy and regular thus thre
is no return to constipated conditions.

Scurry County Has One it Wants
To Get Rid Of Mighty
According to advertised notice
in this paper. Sheriff Holes mount
cd a dry goods box in the court
house ynpl this afternoon and at
tempted to Hell the old court
to the highest bidder. Our wor
thy sheriff has heretofore had the
reputation of being able to sell
most any old thing, ami we have
no doubt but that he has been
figuring for the past two weeks
on how much he was going to
get out of the old bat cave.
Hut alas for human hopes and
pleasant ant ieipat ions, the persua
sive voice of the auctioneer fell on
cold and unresponsive hearts, not
a whisper was heard, not n smile
or a wink could the sheriff get at
any nice. Not a voice broke the
stillness, save the oft repeated
"How much am I offered" and
the Sheriff feeling that it was up
to him to move that old pile of
hriek anil mortar regard
less of the consequences, paralized
his already speechless audience by
offering to give to any of them if
they would move it away. We
hate to say it but in justice to
Sheriff Holes and the taxpayers of
Scurry county, we must say there
was not. a man present patriotic e
noiigh to step forward like a man
and accept the proposition.
Stiu.fr! Well rather. After the
sale, or properly speaking after
the sheriff had said his little talk
he informed us that the offer will
remain open for a few days and
rcmicstcd us to do all we could for
him in the wav of getting this old
lenhant off of his hands. If any
of our readers want to tackle the
job, it is up to t In-ill.
