Hardlson. puator of tho Flrat Christian church of Colorado, has been lnrlted to preach the Kni;tita Templar sermon bofore tho district meeting of the fraternity to be convened at Sweetwater Easter Sunday. Dr. Hardlson attended a meeting of Knights Templar at Snyder at which the meeting place was selected and when the question as to whom should occupy the pulpit before the delegates was Introduced, Dr. Hardl son was unanimously chosen for the honor. Colorado Record. Joe Merrett down; on route two was In town Monday. Joe says that everything is looking mighty good and that wheat is in an xcelent con dition. He has about eighty acres In wheat. The Farmers are still busy pre paring their land for another crop which they hope will be successful. iMr. Taylor of China was carried to Dr. Roots Sanitarium at Colorado to h operated on for appendicitis, but ft is believed that he may escape tho operation. Mrs. Ktbel Green went to Herm leigh Friday, and got on the train and went to Snyder to exchange some school books with the county super intendent. We had preaching Sunday and Sun day night by Rev. J. W. Humphrey. There was a good crowd and the sermon was enjoyed by all. The China Grove school went over to Dunn Friday afternoon and play ed three games of ball. The girls played first and the scores were 36 to 18 in favor of Dunn, next the boys second team played, the scores were 22 to IS In favor of Dunn. The next pump was played by the outsiders. The Hcore was 22 to 17 in favor of China (Jrove. There was a large crowd there and every body enjoyed the gam. Mr. Houston Webb came in Satur day from Sweetwater where he had been visiting several days, and Sun day night he was very ill with cold. They had singing Sunday evening there was a good crowd and they had seme real nice singing. We have organlxed a Sunday school but are not able to secure lit erature at present. Mr. Roe Rosser went to Snyder Sunday morning to have one of his Urth pulled. Thank you folks, you are all In vited to China Grove. A China Grove! Lad- W. S. Heed of Camp Springs was in town Monday and cam around to the Signal office to say howdy.
