RECORD SMASHED BY SALMON PACK Season of 1913 Biggest Yet in the History of Pacific Coast Industry AH previous records for packs of canned salmon ever put up ln any one season on the Pacific coast have been broken by the 1913 pack, figures for which were given out this morning by the Grifflth-Durney company of San Francisco. The total for the season Just closed is 7,500,000 cases, being nearly 1,500,000 cases more than the pac kof 1912, which waa a record year up to that point. The figures by districts follow: Cases. Alaska 3,500,000 Puget sound 2,800,000 British Columbia 1,350,000 Colmnbls river 250.000 Outside rivers 100,000 Total 7.500,000 The fact that outside of Alaska pink and sockeye tails the entire pack is out of first hands shows the consumption of canned salmon has Increased to a wonderful extent.
