PAGE EIGHT j j YOUNG MEN ARE SUPPOSED TO BE MORE THAN USUALLY critical as to style in clothes; but we find a good many men of older years whose clothes ideas are rather young. For all sorts and ages of men HART SCH AFFNER & MARX clothes are made to be satisfactory. The invariable all-wool qual ity is an important item for wearers: it adds to the length of ser vice you get; it makes the fine tailoring and the perfect style, and the correctness of fit all the more valuable because they last bet ter in all-wool fabrics than in the cheaper cotton-mixtures that are so common. STILL ADDING NEW VICTORIES At the end of the first ball of the fifth iuning in the ball game at t’ollbran between the Grand Junction and <’oilbran clubs this afternoon the score stood Jo to O in favor of Grand Junction. From this it is easy to see tliatj today’s result will complete the ninth successive victory for the local team. The diamond at the fair grounds has been put in fine condition for the coming series of games with Colo rado Springs and it is expected that the new cars, ordered by the car com pany will arrive in time to bundle the crowds for these games. The article of ball which the locals are handing out this year deserves generous pa tronage and the fans see in to apprec iate this for they are attending better this year than they ever did before. For many years the "howl” was "Why can’t Grand Junction get a good ball team." And nov Golds worthy and Robbins have responded to this clamor and have put a team in the field of which the city of Grand Junction is reasonably proud, in fact it has so good u team tha; the games so far has been so one-sided as to bo hardly interesting but worthy oppon ents have been secured in the Colo rado Springs Zoos and the coming games should be magnificent "crack er jacks.” The past several games, which with the exception of the Glenwood games. In which the Smudge artists have toyed with their opponents, havo been admirable practice for the home team and they are going into the game Sunday, in the pink of con dition and regardless of the fine rep utation of the Springs aggregation, 'hey are going in with perfect confi ience and the expectation of winning.
