There was some talk of holding two county conventions, one | to elect delegates 10 other conven tions and a later ovne to nominate connty officers. However, A M. Thomas, our county chairman sub wmitted the idea to a referendum of precinct committeeinen and they de cided almost wnanimonsly for one convention to wind up the whole business In crder to equalize representation another dolegate bas been added 10 precinets 1,5 and 9 It will be noted, alwo that precincts 4 and 16 at Crested Butte have been cousol- | idated, although the upporlinued, delegates remain the same. | This convention on September Hth | will determine not only delegates to to the state convention on September Nth, but the congressional, senatorial and judicial convention, an there is A congressman to nominate, a state senator from 4mnison and Pitkin connties and a district atlorney from the Seventh Judicial Distriet. But most important of its work will be the nomination of a splendid connty ticket.
