Rev. Geerge LBoebrs, the eldest
divine in the state and probably the old eld
est pensioner in the United States, died
at his home in Louisville from injuries
received several days age by his clothes

fought in the Mexican War. He was a
Minister of the Methodist Church.
Dn. Carrisk of Lexington, while
driving en East Short street, was severely
shocked and had his horse, a fine trotting
stallion, instantly killed by a live electrlc
light wire lying in the street. The
