BEREA NEWS Clyde Peurl, of East Bernstadt, wno has been spending a few days with his lister, Mrs. Sallie P. Hauson, - returned home Monday. Mrs. J. C Lewis, of Lancaster, who has been visiting her parents Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Smith, returned home Monday. Miss Jessie Smith, who teaches music in the Livingston graded school, spent Sun day with home folks. J. W. Creech, of East Bernstadt, Presi dent of Berea Telephone Company, made a short business trip to our town last week. A. J. Smith spent Sunday with home folks. . Morgan Fouts, of Richmond, was in our city Tuesday. Mrs. Ralph Rigby, who was recently operated on, is doing nicely. Mrs. W. O. Hays who was operated on about two weeks ago for appendicitis was Winchester Active A meeting of SSout twenty-five business .men was held at the City Hall in Winchester - last Tuesday night to make prelimi nary plans for the organization of the Winchester Development Association, the purpose of the organization being to promo'te the building of factories and the establishment of wholesale and jobbing houses, and a committee was appointed to solicit subscrip tions to the capital stock of at least $50,000.00.
