The Daily Regiter, Richmond, ; Madison County;-Kentucky, - Friclay; Afternoon, June "4 1 920 v This Tells Yon How to Get Benefit of the Best Senna Finest Grade of Egyptian Senna Leaves used in compounding Dr. Caldwell's Syrup Pepsin. PROMINENT importers and wholesale dealers in crude drugs and medicinal herbs gathered from all parts of the world do not hesitate to say that the market for the better grades of medicinal herbs, roots, oil3, etc., is practically confined to the lead- w ing manufacturers of the so-called package medicines, who buy only the very best, and that the manu facturers of Dr. Caldwell's Syrup Pepsin are the largest users of the best grade of Egyptian senna leaves in the world. The potency of a tea brewed from senna leaves to relieve con stipation has long been recognized, not only by the medical profes sion, but by the public generally; in fact, senna has been known and used in medicine for more than five centuries. The 'cheaper grades of senna, such as are usu ally sold at retail, have, however, a tendency to gripe and cramp which makes their use unpopular with most people. In Dr. Cald well's Syrup Pepsin the finest Egyptian senna is com bined with pepsin and other valu able agents, essential oils and pure cane sugar syrup to make an ex ceptionally valuable tonic-laxative for the relief of constipation and resulting disturbances of the stomach and bowels. The com plete formula is plainly printed in English, French, and Spanish on every package. Thousands who formerly bought an inferior grade of senna leaves now use Dr. Cald well's Syrup Pepsin instead. It is sold in drug stores everywhere. , In spite cf thz fact that Dr. Call well's Syrup Pepsin is the largest selling liquid laxative in the vjorld, there being ever 6 million bottles sold each, year, many who r.ced its benefits have not yet used it. If you have not, send your ame and address for a free trial botde to Dr. W. B. Caldwell, 511 Washington St., Monticello, Illinois. "TIRES AND T The further exploitation of Richmond musical talent marking another fascinating period of Commencement week exercises of the Madison. High School, was recorded Thursday night at the school chapel, when, under the personal direction of Miss Alice Metcalf, director, the annual re cital of the music department was lven. The program was extensive and consisted of numbers bringing forth a variation of talent, which was manifest from the start, in a quality that bespeaks well not only for the prticipant, but the director. There was a quality so uncommon in the average high school that many wondered at the degree of efficiency reached, and others for the first time realized the importance of this feature of school work and were awakened to its influence and pleasing quali ty for the first time. . The weather prevented the at tendance being such as to more than tax the capacity of the chap el. The music, both instrumenta and vocal, well merited the favor able comment elicited. It seem ed that a bevy of stars had been summoned from the musica world and nerformed for the pleasure of those present. rone were mediocre. All were far above that. From the first the program was a musical treat by real musicians and they were annreciated as never before Credit is due all, collectively and individually, and they should feel highly gratified at having been called upon and being so capable in maintaining the high standard of the Madison High School. The chorus was extraordinary. The program was as follows : Piano Hungarian Dance Mr. Coljeman Covinjrton. Quartet kullaby Misses James. Kel- lofrfr. Metcalf. and Mrs. Thomas McCown.
