Skinner who has been teaching at Petersburg visited his par; ents last week. I Mr. Fountain Myers and daughter of Danville are with H. S. Christopher. Mrs. G. W. Smith of Lexington has been with her brother William Christo pher during his late illness and death, The death angel has visited our com munity again and claimed for his own, Mrs. Cora Poore Halcomb the young wife of Robert Halcomb. Mrs. Hal comb had been in failing health for several months and since the death of her father S. W. Poore, only two months previous she had failed rapidly. She was the only daughter of Mrs, S. W. Poor and a niece of R. S. Brown While snatched away in early woman hood, she was ready for the summon. Funeral conducted by pastor Rev. Simnson. The Death Angel cast another gloom on our community when it entered the home of Mr. Jas Smalley Saturday morning and claimed for its own the aged and beloved wife and mother. Mrs. Smalley had been a sufferer for some time from a complication of dis eases and was ready for the summons. She wasr a member of Mt Olivet church from which the funeral services were held Sunday afternoon conducted by Revs H. J. Tomlinson and Simpson In terment in adjacent cemetery. Many relatives survive to whom sympathy is extended from entire community. After a long illness William Christo pher calmly and peaceably entered heme on Easter morning-April 7th 1912 Mr. Christopher was born February 25, 1842 was a faithfuL and obedient servant of Christ had been a member of the Methodist church for over a half century. He was in every sense a noble and Christian-man, an effection ate husband and father, and was always doing good to-those-whol"mighti be in trouble. Funeral services were held in Brown's Chapel Monday morn ing conducted by the pastor Rev Godbey of Nicholasville, Interment in Harrods burg cemetery. He leaves two sons and a daughter, besides a number of other relatives to whom we extend our heart felt sympathy. A Card Of Tnanks. In order that mothers with babies might be able to attend church, and not be troubled with, the Infants, a nursery has been established by the First Methodist church, at Vancouver, Wash. A room in the basement is used, and is equipped with toys for the amusement of the children. 1. Ballot Box will be opened every Monday at 6 p. M. and the votes therein counted and the ballot box resealed by a committee of two selected for the purpose by the contest manager, his selection to be subject to public approval. The result of each week's count shall be published every week and the candidate's name and her standing to appear. 2. All votes are re-checked once each month by the contest man ager. Any candidate can get the consent of contest manager at any time to inspect or count the votes, 3. Nominations for the Piano Prizes, can be entered by using the Coupon Ballot and sending to the Contest Manager. 4. Any candidate will be accepted providing that she is nomnated in regular form on one of the coupon ballots. The contest manager re serves the right to reject the name of any undesirable candidate and to limit the number of entries. 5. Voting coupons may be cast by anyone, providing they are ob tained from any of the following sources; Coupons appearing in the nevvspaper, or in any handbill, dodger, form-letter or card issued by or coupons given for trade at the stores. All others shall be declared void and thrown out by the judges. 6. No employees of the stores or The Central Record will be per mitted to enter the contest. 7. All votes must be deposited in the ballot box in the presj of the contest manager or some one appointed by him.
