Vaughan and family, who recently returned from Hod genville, have moved to Mr. J. K. P. Aaron's place. "Aunt" Nancy McFarland and her daughter still remain ia poor health. On Feb. 5, 1916, at about 7:00 o'clock, p. m., the spirit of our beloved neighbor and friend, Mrs. Adaline Aaron, the dearly beloved wife of Mr. J. K. P. Aaron, took its flight and re turned to the God who gave it. Mrs. Aaron had a complication of diseases and Had been in poor health for quite - a while. She was a good Christian woman and often expressed herself as being ready and willing to go. She professed faith in Christ and united with the Presbyterian church when a young girl. The deceased was nearly 62 years of age and leaves a loving husband, two sons, three daughters, two step-sons, one step-daughter and several brothers and sisters.. The funeral was preached at the Moore schoolhouse by Rev. James Sullivan, after which the remains were laid to rest in the family burying ground at this place, Mrs, Cris Kearns is in very poor health at this time. Mrs. Omra Wolford, who has been quite sick, has about re covered. Mrs. S. E. Wolford is on the sick list at this writing. Oscar Leverage, whose jaw has risen as a result of defective teeth, has about recovered. Born, to the wife of.M. L. Owens, Feb. 8th, a son Martin Ezra. Mr. Owens says it will be another vote for'Woodrow. James Franklin, who lives at the J. N. Meadows place, is in poor health. J. M. Dunbar swapped a mule to S. B. Collins for a bull and four shoats, M. L. Owens has rented his land and is preparing to build a store house at the cross roads, near the Albert Coffey place. It is to be remembered that Mr. Owens was postmaster and mer chant at this place until nearly 3 years ago, when he had the great misfortune of losing his store by fire. The latest we hear is a M. E. church for Jamestown. It is re ported that half of the money is made up and. the site agreed upon. With the Dixie completed a new church and college, James town would be on a boom. Rev. I. M. Grimsley, who has been a pupil of James D. Vaughn, music publisher of La wrenceburg, Tenn., will preach at Mt. Vernon Baptist church the 3rd Saturday and Sunday in each month. Miss Daisy Keltner. of Grady yille, was visiting Miss Stella Keltner last week. The prayer meeting at this place every Wednesday night is progressing nicely.
