Reports still continue to come in from all parts of the county of cattle dying from eating white clover. On Saturday Mr. Thom as Kirkland lost a $75 Jersey cow. Last Thursday Mr. Buford Van Arsdale purchased a $75 cow and -on Saturday when he went to milk her he found her dead from clover boat. There have been so many losses from this cause that the Kentucky Experiment Sta tion has sent County Agent Gen try a remedy which he has given to the Herald for publication that it may reach the farmers all over the entire section. The Ex periment Station says: "For the, present we strongly recom mend for acute bloating 1 quart of a 11.2 per cent., solution of the formaline which should be followed by placing a wooded block in the animal's mouth and gentle exercise if the animal can be gotten up. Formalin is a trade name for a 40 per cent., so lution of formaldehyde gas in water and may be obtained at any drug stooe for 40 cents per pint.
