A bill to submit to the voters of I Kentucky an amendment to the con stitution granting suffrage to women will be presented at the next Legisla ture. The submission of the question was'endorsed by the Republican party in convention assembled. The Prohi bition and Socialist parties stood; as 9 they have always stood, for the prin ciple ot woman suffrage. The plat form of the Progressive party adopted at its convention In Louisville contains this Dlank: "We desire to reiterate our belief in the just principle of wo man suffrage and urge upon the next Legislature to submit the question to the voters of Kentucky." The Democratic party is the only one In Kentucky which has failed to Include a woman suffrage plank In Its platform. The women of Kentucky will, nevertheless, appeal with some confidence to the Democratic mem bers ot the next Legislature to pass a submission bill, especially since the declaration of President Wilson and all the members of his Cabinet in states where the question is to be put to the Issue this fall, that the woman suffrage question should be settled by appeal to the voters of each state.
