make some important changes in his
extensive horse breeding establish
ment at Parkville Tho one hundred
acro tract of land fronting on Ocean
Parkway has become too valuablo for
further use as a stock farm and at the
close of the present season a consider
able portion of it will bo cut up into
city lots to be sold This will neces
sitate tho removal of all tho breeding
stock now kept at Parkville Farm as
tho tract remaining is Mroly largo
enough to accommodate tho big string
of trotters Mr Shults has constantlj
in training The change will also re
sult in tho destruction of the fine mile
track which is now in use but this
course is to bo replaced by a now one
adjusted to tho remodeled boundry
lines of tho farm Within tho past
two years Mr Shults has acquired
piece by piece a country placo of about
100 acres near Port Chester whero he
now lives and it is to this newly
equipped farm that a majority of the
horses are soon to bo taken from
Parkville Tho present Parkvill Farm
was established in 188G when Mr
Shults purchased the old Deerfoot
half mile track togother with several
adjacent parcels of land tho whole
compromising 101 acres Hero he
has since invested more than 1000-
000 in the equipment of one of the
most complete and extensive trotting
studs in existence
