closed Sunday when thirteen of the

Deaths
Glore Mrs Sallie Glore wife
of Mr John T Glore died Sun
day afternoon at 345 after an ill
ness of only a few days The de
ceased was a daughter of the late
Edmund V Stephens and leaves
an infant only a few days old to
the care of her grown daughter
The misfortune to the family is
peculiarly sad from the fact that
her husband was so unfortunate
several years ao as to lose both
hands by the explosion of a blat
and she had since that time looked
after and cared for him as tenderly
as if he were an infant and he
will miss her more and more every
day
The funeral took place MonJay
afternoon at 4 oclock and the re
mains were deposited in the family
lot in the cemetery

husband in the Flat Creek neigh

funeral took place Wednesday
Warren Mr Lee C Warren
died at his home in New Berlin
Illinois on Saturday and the re
mains were brought here Tuesday
for interment The deceased was
a brother of the late Ches Warren
of this county and was for many
years a resident of the Forks of
Elkhorn
Welch Mr James W Welch
died at 2 oclock Wednesday
morning at his home on Main
street after a brief illness Sunday
a week ago he was taken with
cholera morbus but on Wednes
day of last week was able to be
out again Thursday night he was
again taken ill and on Friday be
came unconscious in which state
he remained until his death the
disease being pronounced paraly
sis of the brain by his physician
The deceased was about 55
years of age and was born in
Ireland but raised in this
citv where he had numerous I
friends and relatives He leaves a
widow but no children to mourn
his loss His funeral took place
Thursday afternoon from the
Church of the Good Shepherd
For many years Mr Welch was
a member of the Frankfort Cornet
Band and that organization at
tended the funeral in a body and
performed the funeral march at
the he id of the procession as it
moved through the streets
Holmes Mr William Holmes
of this city died at the Soldiers
Home at Dayton Ohio on Thurs
day aged 59 years He was a
tailor by trade and had ueen a
resident of this city for some
fifteen years During the war he
was a soldier in the Third Ken
tucky Infantry His health failing
he went to the Soldiers Home
abont eight months ago where he
spent the remainder of his life
He leaves a widow and five chil
dren all grown The remains
were taken to his old home at
Danville for interment

have been permanently cured by
