(30mar-lmo) The congregation of the Paris Presbyterian church will not holo. their regular prayer-meeting ser vice Wednesday night, but will meet with the congregation of .the Metlx odist church in the revival service being held there. Prof. Lee Kirpatrick, Superin tendent of the Paris Public Schools, delivered a lecture Sunday morning at 9:45 o'clock to tie members of the Men's Bible Class of the Paris Christian church, of which he is teacher. Prof. Kirkpatrick spoke in an instructive and entertaining manner on the subject of "A Man's Contribution to Christian History." The revival meeting in pro gress at the Pans Methodist church continues with increased attendance Iand growing interest. At the Sun day night service there was hardly standing room. Up to date there I has been a total of thirty-nine ad ditions. These will be received into j the church next Sunday morning. T-he meeting will continue through the week, endine: next Sundav nisrht. While "over the top" may not be exactly the phrase to use in a church "campaign, it is the one most fittingly to be used in connection vith the Paris Presbyterian church campaign for its quota of $10,000 for the Progressive Program of the church. In the canvass conducted Sunday the members- of the church subscribed the sum of $14,000, ex ceeding their quota for the 1920 budget by $2,000. The contribu tions of several members who had not been seen or solicited will bring the sum to over $14,000. The campaign was carried over in one Jay instead of covering the full lime of ten days as had been allotted to it. The campaign had for its ob ject the raising of a laige sum for home and foreign missions, and ail expenses for one year. The officers of the church and the soliciting committees of the campaign were guests of the ladies of the congiega tion at a banquet Wednesday night, which certainly put them on edge for the drie Sunday afternoon. The pastor, Rev. T. S. Smylie, and all who had a part in the work felt greatly enthused over the successful outcome of the cne-day's canvass and hearty congratulations were exchanged. f J y If i XS Suppose You Went To China On a two years' trip and left your family with only provisions enough for three months, what would they think of you?
