Tho Christmas Ocrman at the Hotel
Worth last night which had been look
ed forward to as tho chief social event
of the holidays proved to be delight
ful enough to gratify tho fondest an
The entrances to tho parlors and
ball room were hung with mistletoe
with light festoons ot evergreen and
smitax and Spanish moss interlacing
the walls nnd hanging from the chan
deliers ot the brilliantly lighted rooms
falling upon the radiant beauty ot the
citys fair ones and the lovely maidens
from abroad who were present to grace
the occasion attended by gallant men
all looking more than usually happy
made altogether a charming scene
when tho festivities began at 9 oclock
At that hour In response to tha first
strains from the orchestra the com
pany moved upon the floor and passed
Into tho mazes of the gcrman and euch
seemed lost to consciousness ot any
thing except tho presence ot his part
ner while all moved gracefully to tho
pleasing strains of Prof Cnrrlcon per
fect band Supper waa served at 11
Pclock and consisted ot a repast
tempting enpugh for anyone whoso
heart was In normal condition where
fore It waa no rellcctlon upon tho menu
that a few souls in rhapsody forgot
the dellclousncss of things material
which were pet before them But near
ly all partook with a relish which was
a sincere tribute to the viands as well
as an earnest of the companys good
health and excellent spirits
Thire was more evidence ot this In
the sparkling eyes and deepening bloom
xf beauty to say nothing of ithe last
look of tho boys as the evening sped
away In such complete enjoyment that
it was like an awakening fiom dream
land when the hour for parting came
It was significant of lasting good will
between two slater cities that n number
of tho young people who aro most
prominent in tho society of Dallas
were present by special Invitation nt
this occasion which will long be re
membeied with Interest in Tort Worth
A number of cliurmlng guests were
also present from several other points
at a distance and In nil hall a dozen
cities and towns were represented
Tho entertainment continued until 2
Tho following are the younir genMe
men of Tort Worth who aro to be
congratulated upon the jocefs f il ut
