AYEll'S
PILLS.
FOR ALL THE PURPOSES OF A
FAMILY PHYSIC.
There has long existed a public demand for an
effective purgative pill which could be relied on as
, aure and perfectly safe in its operation. This ha
been prepared to meet that demand, and an exten-
' eive trial of ita virtues has conclusively shown with
- what success it accomplishes the rmrpose designed.
It is easy to make a physical pill, but not easy to
.. make the beet of all pilit one which s'aould have
none of the objectious, but all the advantages, of
, every other. This has been attempted here, and
' with what success we would respectfully submit to
the public decision. It has been unfortunate for
the pa tiin t hitherto that almost every purgative
medicine ia acrimonious and irritatinz to the bovs
els. This is not. Many of them produce ao ranch
. griping pain and revulsion in the system aa to more.
' than counterbalance the good to be derived from
them. These pills produce no irritation or pain,
unless it arise from a previously existing obstruc
tion or derangement in the bowels. Being purely
Tegetahle, no harm can arise from their nse in any
. quantity ; bttt it is better that any medicine should
be taken judiciously. Minute directions for their
n&e in the several diseases to which they are ap
plicable are given on the box. Among the com
plaints which have been speedily cured by them, we
' tnev mention Liver Complaint, in its various forms
of Jaundice, Indigestion, Lnniriior and Loss f Ap
, petite, Listlessness. Irritability, Bilious Heaisrhe,
IJilious Fever, Fever and Ague, Pain in the Side
, and Loins ; fur, in truth, all these are but tha con
sequence of diseased action in the liver. As an
aperient they afford prompt and sure relief in Cos
' ttvene-s, l'iies, Colic, Dysentery,. Humors, Scrof
ula and Scurry, Crilds wtth soreness of the body,
Ulcers and impurity of the blood ; in short, any
and every case where a purgatfve is required.
' Tliev h:ve also produced some snngn'arlv suc-
- fesafitl cures in UliCumaUsiu. Cuitt. Dropsy . Gravel,'
J'j-ysipelas, I'alpttatioii of the lle..rt. Pains in the
Back, Stomach, and Siile. 'I hey should be freely
taken in the spring of the year, to piniiy the blond
and prepare the system for the change of seasons.
An MTasionnl Hose stimulates the stomach and
bowels into healthy action, and restores the appe
tite and vigor. They purify the blood, and, by theii
stimulant action on the circulatory system, reno

wasted or diseased energies of the whole organism.
Hence an occasional dose is advantageous, even

necessary dosinif should never be carried too far,

' This remedy has won for itself such notoriety
from Its cures of every variety of pulmonary disease,
that it ia entirely unnecessary to recount the vi
dt uce of its virtues iu any community wher it
has beeu employed. So wide is the field of it use
fulness, and so numerous th cases of its cure,
, that almost every section of the country abounds
In persons f nblicly known, who have been restored
from alarming and even desperate diseases of tht
lungs by ita use. When once tried its superiority
over ev-ry other medicine of its kind is too appa-
: rent to escape observation, ana where its virtue ar
known, the public no longer hesitate what antidot
to employ for the distressing and dangerous affec
tions of the pulmonary organs which are incident
to onr climate. And not only in formidable at
tacks upon th lungs, but for the milder s;arietie
of Colus, Coughs, Hoaksiness, Ae.; and for
. Cuildkhk it is the plcasautest and safest msxlicin
that can be obtained.
A it has long been in ronsLtnt use throughout
this section, we need cot do more than assure the
people its quality is kept up to the beat that it ever
haw been, aud that the genuine article ia sold ky
