The store of G. "W. I.riggs was broken into "Wednesday night, Nov. 1. The bur pkirs took out a light of glass in the tt':ir of the store. They secured some i!ioi).'y, provisions, tobaoeo and jewelry. The lreak was not known until Mr. Hriggs opened the store in the morning. Shi'i-iff i;. N. Filts, and Sheriff F. L. Weliinan of I'.ratth'horo, were notified and caught the burglars, Daniel Willard and (.'harle and Willie Clark of Town- shend. in West .Taniaiea. The men had the stolen goods with them. The annual church meeting, with sup per and roll call, was held in the vestry of the I'.aptist church Monday, Nov. 7. with an attendance of IS. After a bount iful supper of chicken-pie, masltcd potato, salad, hot rolls, brown bread, pickles, pies, cakes, cheese and coffee, the roll call was conducted. Fetters were read from absent members. Preceding the bus iness meeting prayer was offered by ltev. II. M. Ilopkinson. The report of the treasurer was given, showing a balance of !?tMi.S7 in the treas ury, and a balance of ..". ."O for missions. Keports of meetings held during the year were read by the clerk. There have been two baptisms dining the year. The church was incorporated at a meeting to ld in August and the time of the annual meeting .was changed from the'tirst Mon day in January to the first Monday in November. Mr. Harrington has been mov ing his farm produce and other property on his truck for several weeks. He has built on the place, which is the first house outside of the village limits on the Fellows Falls road, a new henhouse to accommodate at least "" hens. Mi Harrington has been probably the most successful farmer in Windham and it is a matter for regret that the town is to lose him.
