Safety Strength Service S U ,iWMMwaiW.Jil.IJttI People are often perplexed as to how to invest their money. It is no easy matter to select a se curity to fill a given set of requirements, but rather it is a problem requiring experience for its solution. This is one of the reasons why an in vestor, when purchasing securities should seek the counsel of a reliable investment house. Vermont Investment Corporation Phone 55 American Bldg. Brattleboro, Vt. IF THE FARMERS SHOULD STRIKE '''. -' our country's largest industry would stop, and our fowl supply, which we usually give but little thought to. would beeome an almighty fac tor. Fortunately, however, the farmers don't strike. Instead, they carry on the great task of raising food for the nation, through good and bad times, regardless of railroad, coal, or other strikes. Our western farmer, to whom we must look for our laily bread, are often hampered in their work through lack of capital. The big job of the Farm Mortgage Companies is to secure this needed capital for them, for a term of years at current interest rates, from institutions and in dividuals, having a surplus to lend. As the West is still largely de pendent upon the K?st for funds, a large portion of the money is obtained in New England. The first mortgages on their places, which ' the farmers give as security for the money loaned them, are the very . best hind of security, and owners of such mortgages are not dis turbed over strikes and other influences which reach out and depress many forms of -investments. As one of the rioneer "Farm Mortgage Companies, the Vermont Loan jind "Trust Company can. offer now, as in the past, the highest grade of First Mortgages of various amounts, bearing 7 per cent. 64 mt, cent and 0 per cent interest.. All carefully selected and fully se cured by line productive farms, located in tlie best districts, and safe guarded by a service extending to fina" maturity.
