Camp Watson, thc summer resort on the sliorcs of Lake Champlain, csUb Ilslicd about forty years ago by the lato Hlratn Atkins, was completcly dcslroyetl by firc on Tuesday night. The camp compriscd four largc builtlings with fur nishings for tho accommodation of about forty guests. Also fifty largc tents, a boat house, containing a dozcn bo.its, and an ice house. All was destroycd and the loss is cstimated at betwccn 0,000 and 87,000. It was instircd in thc Union Mutual Fire Insurance Compnny for $'-',500. Hesides this, is thc privatc loss of several guests, who spond thc summcr thore cach year, which Includes several hundrcd dollars' worth of Ilshing tackle and othor effccts stored in the buildings. The camp is open about two months in thc summcr and was to havc been opcned on Friday for the season. At thc timc of thc fire no one was in charge of the pre niiscs. The cause of tho fire is not known but is tlionght to be either of ln ccndlary orlijin or from thc carelessness of some one, who may have bcen touring in that section. George Atkins with J. H.
