Dll. DYOTT’S ANTI-BILIOUS PILLS .1 family inodicin©, a mild and gentle j purgative and a purifier of tiic blood. The gen- I oral use ol these celebrated Pills throughout the j United States, for these forty years past, and the strong root* n ncnd.itioas they have acquired from all class s of our fellow citizen*, plac-s them in a I much more elevated situation in publis estimation, | than uiy other remedy which lias heretofore been introduced. The following are among tiie many diseases for which Dr. Dyolt’s celebrated Pills arc so deserved ly distinguished for curing. by their counteract-i iug properties in rein ivingthe bile from the stom ach ‘they prevent an i cure the bilious lever ; chill or ague and fever ; spring an l fall levers; yellow fever ; hi lions eh*>1 io ; nlcuri jy ; dysentery ; wot ms ; bilious vomiting , sick and foul stomach". by cleaning the bowels and stomach from all im purities, they restore th- lo ;s of appetite, remove flat • ulen-.y, cure the bci laebe, habitual c.t>.stiveness, colds, coughs, astbin i. epeliptic. lit s, hypochondria, hysterical complaints, stransguary, gravel, ftc. by a general and copious use they will be found very beneficial in curing the rheumatism and gout, lumbago or pains in the. back. All impurities in tli- blood yield to their happy effects, whether pro ceeding from constitutional ailment or from indis creel intemperance. These celebrated pills havn been used to very great advantage in ruling the dyspepsia or indi gestion, bronchitis, liver complaint , &<•. They arc an infallible medicine for Female Com- ' plaints generally, and especially for removing those : obstructions which are the source of their ailments j at certain periods, they possess the eminent advan tages over most other purgatives, that while they | operate gently, they produce neither costiveness,' debility, or too great excitement. Whenever there is a predisposition to receive dis- ! ease from marsh effluvia, or from a loo copious use j of ardent spirits or from a vitiated state of the bile, th-se pills will assuredly counteract it. They are highly recommended to travellers, by sea or land, and may be made use of with safety without change of diet and in situations where no exercise can be used. They will be found particu larly valuable for preventing diseases incidental to hot climates, they deterge and cleanse vicid hu mors, open obstructions, and promote the secretion of good bile, op-rate, as an easy cathartic as a pow erful diuretic, and as a diaphoretic. Dr. Dvott, under the strong conviction of the power of his pills, to relieve the afflicted, recom mends the use of them to those who are in health as well as the afflicted, at least once a fortnight, during the Spring and Summer months, in which he feels assured those who attend to his advice will find the benefit they seek. A bill of directions accompanies each box of Pills. Take notice—each box is sealed with red wax, stamped with the proprietor’s i o.it of arms, and signed 'l'- W. DVOTT, AT. I)., and T. W. The introduction is n very p>wspic nous hi-tory of Christianity print to the time of George Fox ; and it brings down the history of the Society ol Friends in England from its origin to the year 1736. The work will prove very attract ive and' popular, and we can confidently recom mend it to all classes, for they will find" in it the history of persecuted goodness, plainly and char itable told, in all the simplicity of truth.”— Philatl. This fault of their writers necessarily confines their publications to a ‘select few.’ by whom patience is esteemed a vir tue. Hr. To this he has consulted the stand ard historians and primitive members ot the Socie ty, ami has produced a work which will no doubt find favor with the public- The present volume comnr ences with the year 1336, and extends to 1736. It is the design of the author to prepare shortly another volume, containing a full account of the privations endured by the Society in America.”— Balt.
