Captain Frank Wllllnnia' Trip to Hal tlmoro ? Hncceii In Several Ways? survi'j? Held and to De Held ana Amount of Damage to Shipping;. The firm of Hudson & Bro. completed a highly creditable Job yesterday float? ing the British steamship Windsor at about 5 a. in., and with the aid of the tugs Asher J. Hudson and Hercules, towing her from her dangerous location and bringing her to Norfolk. About BOO tons of cargo were lightered from the Windsor on the barge Viola W. Tunis, making the floating easy of accompllsh 1 meat. The steamer was uninjured, and at 1 once went to Lambert's Point and i bunkered, and will sail from there this ! morning. Captain Parry expressed him? self as greatly ideased with the way his vessel was handled. A HUSTLING TRIP. Mr. Frank Williams, of the Arm of E. T. Williams & Co., returned home by rail from Baltimore yesterday, leaving the tug E. T. Williams attending a n hooner en route for Baltimore, and the Curtln also engaged In towing. He reports the Ice from the Patuxcnt, the ; Potomac, York. Happahannock and I other Chesapeake bay tributaries as heavy and navigation dlfllcult. He was i successful In towing In with the K. T. i 'Williams, the tirst large sailing vessel j to arrive at Baltimore since the storm: I the schooner Nellie W. Howlett, Cap ! tain Behrmann, from Charleston, and j on his way to Baltimore towed the I four-masted schooner George P. Dav j enport from a dangerous position In the Ice pack Into the mouth of the Great Wlcomlco. Jle further rantured three line oyster vessels drifting, abandoned, In the lee, nnd towed them to the same anchorage. Their owners can get them I by applying to his firm her*. SURVEYS MADE. Captains George F. Fhillips and Wil? liam Lauder held surveys - yesterday on the schooners Henry D. Mcy and Fannie Brown, and also on the barges Pactnlus and Montana, cut In hv the lee. The May's damage will amount to $i.noo. the Brown's to $l,200, if not $t.500, [ and the barges will each be partially re? paired hero before going to New York, their destination. RAISED AND TOWED IN. The three-masted schooner Pasadena. Captain Harris, cut down by the ice and sunk at Newport News, was nump ed out and raised yesterday, and tow? ed to Norfolk by the tue PJdgewood, ijnd will here discharge her deck load to enable the leakage to be stooped. She carries 17,000 railroad !!?:? for the New York Central railroad, ano is un? der yearly contract for such cargoes from Charleston. But for the floating quality of her cargo she would hardly be above water now. She will tempora? rily repair here. The schooner Levl Hart, Captain Pat , tcrson, Is lying; alongside the Pasa? dena, waiting her new anchor, yawl boot nnd other fittings made necessary ' by her dragging in the Ice pack and crossing the forefoot of a British steam? er last week Monday night. OTHER DAMAGES. The schooner Rodney Parker, Captain Hlggins. was towed here from Newport News yesterday, with Jihhoom and some head rigging gone, and will re? pair here. Captains Phillips and Lauder will hold a survey on the barge Dessnug at New? port News to-day, which was severely I handled in collision with the schooner Henry W. Cramp nnd barge Meade, which dragged down on her In the ice pack one day last week. A number of staves were started and some carried away by the collision. Taylor re? ceived from City Treasurer Herman yesterday afternoon a check for JS.000. which he turned over to Capt. W. W. Old as til.- purehare price of the Holt street bridge, which is now the prop ! erty of the city. At l o'clock p. m. the bridge was thrown open free to the public, and hereafter mi more tolls will have to be paid for passing over It. The success of this much desired measure is due largely to the active and persistent efforts made by the Brnmbleton Local Hoard of Improve? ment, which has for sometime worked faithfully to g. t the matter through the City Councils by guaranteeing one-half of the .im.unit to he paid for the struc? ture. a"d the board deserves the thanks of the citizens of Bramblcton for the happy consummation of their efforts. Mr. Thomas Clogan, who has been keeper of the bridge for the past twen? ty-three years, will be allowed to re? main in the toll house on the bridge on account of his faithful service, and may possibly he kept in the employ of the city to look after the billige and see to its being kept in thorough repair. I am now in good health and can do my housework without trouble. Wine of Cardui brought about the cure. MRS. P. TONES. The woman who has neither strength nor spirits?who is unable to attend to her ordinary household duties?is to be pitied. Some unthinking folks will say she is lazy; that she is a poor housewife, and docs not keep her rooms in a tidy condi? tion. How can a sick woman be expected to keep her house as "neat as wax"? The wonder is that she can do anytiiing. If men were afflicted with any troubles that dragged them down like "female troubles" drag women down, they wouldn't ac? complish very much either. Wine of Cardui is the best medi? cine for the diseases and weaknesses of women. It cures where physicians' and other medi? cines fail, and it cures right at home, without any necessity whatever for obnoxious local examinations so persistently urged by doctors. House? work is net a burden to healthy women, and Wine of Cardui makes home tasks easy by making wives well. It cures every menstrual disorder that women suffer from.
