MISSISSIPPI RIVER POST LIGHTS ?Notice Is hereby given that on or about February 20, 1900, post lights, as follows, will be established on the Mis? sissippi river below New Orleans: Now Canal Post Light (after No. 991) ?A lixed white lantern light, suspended from an arm attached to a white post, 3ii fed above tile water, on the north? easterly bank of the liver at the new canal above Lucus. Fort Jackson Point Post Light (after No. 992)?A fixed white lantern light, suspended from an arm attached to a white post, :t5 feet above the water, on the southerly bank of the river, on Fort Jackson Point. Jesuit Bend Post Light (after No. 1002)?A fixed white lantern light, sus? pended from an arm attached to a white post, :tr> feet above the water, on the westerly bank of the river, at the Catholic Church in Jesuit Bend. On the same dale existing post lights, as follows, will be moved to new loca? tions: St. Philips Bend Post Light?This fixed red lantern light will be moved about Vi. mile to the eastward, to the ?house next below Us present position, and re-established on the northerly bank of the river, about Vi mile below Fort St. Philip, in order that it may serve as a bctier guide in coming down stream. Harris Bayou Post Light?This fixed red Inntern light will be moved about V4 mile northwesterly from Its present position and re-established on the northeasterly side of the river, opposite Sixty-Mile Point, to servo as a better guide in going up nnd coming clown, stream. Favret Post Light?This fixed white lantern will bo moved about Vj mile northwesterly from its present position and re-estnbllshed on the northerly bank of the river, opposite Point Cel? este, to serve as a bettor guide to clear the shoal below Point Celeste.
