Puckett. This was a 20-acre tract, ten acres of which was in bearing orchard, seven acres in cultivation and three acres moun tain land. The consideration was $8,550 clear. This place is located two miles south of town. The Cashmere reporter for the Wenatchee Daily World wishes to take this opportunity for apologizing for a mistake made in a report to the World last week. Through some misunderstanding it was reported that the Cashmere Valley Record was printed in Wenatchee, owing to the illness of the assistant editor. This was not the case, and was rightly denied. Last Friday was cleaning up day with the Cashmere schools. At 1 o'clock the captains took their squad 3f children and went to work on the lot assigned for them. J. H. Scott had it systematically arranged and every class in the public school was iiligently at work picking up stones, sticks and trash, which was put on wagons and hauled away. The higher classes were busily cleaning up the different rooms, and in less than two and one-half hours the ground was entirely void of any rubbish and the premises had the appearance of a new school ground. The athletic association of the pub lic school and the high school went immediately to work laying out their track field. Between the two build ings will be the place chosen for the tennis court. There will be a 220 yard circular relay race track around the old building. The school ground is long enough to permit a hundred yard dash. The boys have their track laid out, and everything will be ready for practice except the base ball diamond. There are two other spots where they are contemplating putting the diamond, but nothing permanent has been decided. The town made the high school boys a present of new suits costing $125. Should Spray Now. For scale, red spider, aphis etc., now is the time to apply the lime and sulphur spray. The time to apply this spray to best advantage is the dormant season. That will probably last about five or six weeks yet. However, the work can be done better and much of the disagreeable ness can be avoided by applying this spray before the spring winds come. The inspection service will begin its work in the city of Wenatchee at once, and they expect to have the trets in the city in better condition this summer than they have ever teen in before. P. S.
