NOTICE OF GENERAL MUNICIPAL
ELECTION
Notice is hereby given that on
Tuesday. April 5, a general municipal
election will be held in the town of
Cordova, Alaska, in the council cham
bers of the town hall on Second
street, in said town.
Phils will open at 8 o'clock a. m.
Polls will close at 7 o’clock p. m.
The qualifications of electors for
[councilman, mayor, town clerk and
town treasurer, are as follows:
He or she shall be a citizen of the
United States, 21 years of age or
over, who has resided continuously
one year next preceding the election
in the territory of Alaska and six
months continuously next preceding
the election in the town of Cordova,
Alaska, and who has registered in
accordance with the requirements of
Ordinance No. 17 of the Town of Cor
dova, Alaska, entitled “an ordinance
for the registration of the legal elec
tors in the town of Cordova, Alaska.”
The qualifications of voters for
members of the school board for
Cordova school district shall be as
follows: All adults, male and female,
who are citizens of the United States
bona fide residents of the territory
of Alaska for one year or more, and
of the Town of Cordova for at least
six months immediately preceding
the date of election.
Th offices to be filled at said
election are:
A mayor to serve one year.
Three councilmen to serve for two
years.
A town treasurer to serve one year.
A clerk for the Cordova school dis
trict to serve three years.
