Reports are coming in of ducks being unusually plentiful along the creeks and in the ponds, and there is little doubt but that sportsmen will hare one of the best seasons in a number of years. The season for prairie chick« eus does not open until October first, but after that date the hunting will be as good as lias ever been experi enced. In the mountains, deer are also re« ported extremely plentiful and the first flurry of snow after the season opens will see an unusual number ot gunners hieing hillward. And for those who would seek a sport of more adven turous proportions, reports of bear in dicate a greater number of those ani tais in the mountains than have shown up any year in the past decade.
