Known as Chlorax Spray Pow der, this herbicide was developed by Chipman Chemical Co. Although Chlorax contains sodium 'J chlorate (combined with a special form of borate), it does not have the fire hazard normally associat ed with chlorates. Also, it does not create danger of poisoning to graz ing livestock under normal condi tions of use. Chlorax is designed to kill both deep and shallow-rooted weeds and grasses.
