CASPER—Reportedly still in upper Cretaceous, wildcat of the
Carter Oil Company on the Shawnee structure this week looked
more and more like a candidate for Rocky Mountain depth record
honors. As the week ended, it was mixing mud at 11,405 feet,
preparatory to drilling deeper.
