products as represented to a great extent by wages to em
ployes, are not distributed in some distant community, but
rather kept here where they are ultimately redistributed
with local people. All employes are of course local residents
and in many cases home owners. Their practice of reinvest
ing their surplus profits in the community has been of tre
mendous value in helping Butte to prosper in a way that
only men and institutions of this sort make possible.
