The resolution was finally withdrawn by request of the president, who suggested that its withdrawal would be vreferable to having it defeated, since a defeat would put the union on record "as havirng Lhrown down Bryan." A declaration of political policies which contained no reference to parties or candidates was adopted. A resolution that the International Typographical union sever its con nection with the American Federa tion of Labor and the Canadian Trades and Labor congress was de feated. The "'Four Corners of the Earth," a typical wild west melodrama, filled with exciting situations and gun play held the boards at the Opera House on Tuesday evening. The audience would probably have been larger had it not been for the strong wind and dust storm. The W. C. T. U. held an interest ing session at the home of Mrs. Kin ney. The next meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. J. W. Gilmore on Tuesday, Sept 1st at 2:30 p. m. All members are requested to attend as there will be election of officers. Please be prompt.
